Help in Tashkent

Greetings All I'm arriving into Tashkent this week and need serious advice as to where to stay? I need something clean, secure, and with spacious rooms other than the Intercontinental which seems to be the only 5*Hotel in town. Also if it's not asking too much I also need to know wether or not I can rent a 4x4 vehichle and where to see the country using my international or original driving license? highly appreciated, al_jaidah@yahoo.com
