I'll be traveling in November and I'd like to go from Arezzo to Urbino and then on to Assisi. It appears that the only train option is to go up to Bologna and then to Pesaro and then transfer to bus to Urbino--I don't want to do this because it's expensive and time-consuming. Is there a bus only way to do this? I've been trying to read bus schedules but my Italian is not so good. Thanks.
In this case, train option is useless. There are direct busses from Arezzo to Urbino, have a look here: baschetti.it/doc-bin/pdf_ora... If I read the schedule properly, there is a bus on Tuesday at 6:45 and it arrives in Urbino at 10:35. And the other one leaves Thursdays at 14:15 and arrives at 17:35. But both with bus change in the cities of Lamoli (Tuesday bus) or Sansepolcro and Lamoli (Thursday bus). Is that a Piero della Francesco picture as your "avatar"? Ingrid :-)

Sorry, I forgot your other question, how to get from Urbino to Assisi. The options are not big, but there is a bus running between Roma and Urbino which stops at Foligno: comune.urbino.ps.it/ContentM... and from there you can take the Spoletino bus to Assisi: ro.autobus.it/TP/ssit/bw.asp... It would be the 18:25 and arrives at 19:10.
