Hi, We are a group of three going to unawatuna around Xmas time,is it imperative that we book accommodation prior to going or is there plenty available?would anyone know where i can find a detailed map of unawatuna with hotel listings?looked in google,not that helpful.appreciate your replies. Hi there, a) No need to prebook unless you arrive on Friday or Saturday. Often hotels and guesthouses give last-minute offers to locals for the weekend. b) There is a decent map, with listings, in the Lonely Planet for Sri Lanka. And probably also in other printed travel guides. Expecting this kind of stuff to be always free is maybe asked a bit too much... All the best, & [Sandya]

hi i am chamara from sri lanka ...it is always better you boof the hotel and come since cristmas time there will be more crowd..even locals..so if you want any kind of help in this regard to I am always there to find out the best for u..
