The cheapest fare I could find and the one with the less train changes is this one, as of www.sj.se: Departure: 17:00 Arrival: +07:41 Travel time: 14:41 1 change, SJ, 17:00 Göteborg C - 06:56 Vännäs stn SJ, Night train 98 07:20 Vännäs stn - 07:41 Umeå C SJ, Regional train 7081 The price is 854 SEK for second class seat tickets and 956 SEK for first class seat tickets for an adult without discounts. I chose a random date of July 25.
