Question regarding Italian customs

Hello everyone, I am hosting a baby shower for an Italian woman who married an American and is so sad to be away from her family at this exciting time in her life. I would like to have the shower make her feel as much "at home" as I can. Does anyone know any Italian traditions for mothers-to-be? Thanks so much for your help!
