We are 3 adults and one kid, planning to go to black forest from Amsterdam. Its an unplanned one and we wanted to go next week june 6 and stay there for 3 nights. Can some one please suggest a country side farmhouse/apartment where its nice, warm calm and pleasant? Would prefer more green!!

My husband and I, both in our early 60s have 4 days that we would like to spend in the Black Forest. We would be coming in from Amsterdam. Is it a good idea to come by train to Stuttgart to begin our BF trip? We would like to explore the BF by car, preferably a private guided tour which would also include short scenic train rides or half day or one day cruises. Would really appreciate any tips and advice specially re guided tours and routing.

We enjoyed Ulm so much we didn't take any notes or anything. Now I am wondering where we were and would appreciate any help you can offer. This was a pedestrian mall. There was a restaurant called Cavallino, I think, and some ponds and fountains, and a big blue soup can exhibit about solar energy. This was 6 years ago. Any help? The picture is in my photos. Hi there, I and four friends want to start a bike tour in Ulm. Are there any good, reasonably priced, bike shops in Ulm where we can buy touring bikes? What sort of cost per bike should we budget for adult bikes with panniers which will survive a four week cycle path journey - i.e. we only need low to mid range quality? Regards
One of the main sights I wanted to visit is the Ulm minster. I was very dissappointed to learn that it is now a protestant church. Does that mean that there is very little inside worth seeing, as was true of the churches in the Netherlands also? It is not a religious thing for me, just that I find protestant churches, especially when they were once catholic, to be stark, cold and boring and to have lost artistic interest. It would not be worth stopping in Ulm just to see a tall tower, though I wanted to see it too.
