Can anyone tell me how I can go about booking tickets on the Blue Mountain Express? I would like to travel on this train between Coonoor and Ooty. And would like to book tickets in advance. Alos any information about timings ie, what time it arrives in Coonoor and leaves to Ooty.
I think it stops Coonoor too,Mettupalayam it starts 7.10am. Tickts no need of booking,over the counter you can buy. radz

Thanks for that info. Have you travelled on this train. Just one more question since I have heard conflicting details. Is the Nilgiris Blue Mountain & the so called toy train one and the same? And does this train follow the same route as the Indian railways ?

Hi ya its same train,from Mettupalayam to Udagamandalam this is the only train runs,no other train route is there. Usually it waits for " Blue Mountain Express"express from Chennai,then departs. You going to to catch Coonoonr,thats why i said you can get ticket at counter.Many ppl getdwon there. But if you planning to get tickets Mettupalayam ,USUALLY its over crowded you dont get tickets.Its small train only 5 or 5 coach . Hope it helps u . Radz
