We are interested in a 3 night gullet cruise this May. We are considering either the Fethiye to Olympus route or 12 islands cruise to and from Fethiye. Is one better than the other? Originally we were thinking of doing the one from Fethiye to Olympos so that we could visit Kas and Kekova, and then make our way close to Antayla (where we have to finish). However, I read that since this covers a great distance, we would spend more time moving and less time at each location. Is one itinerary better than the other?
The 12 islands tour is like a daily tour. All the 12 islands located around Gocek and Fethiye. So you will be able to see the most important ones in one day. But 3 days cruise from Fethiye to Olympos is much more interesting. St Nicolas Island, Butterfly valley, Kekova, Sunken City, Kas, Kalkan. They are all on your way to Olympos and it ends in Olympos where you can spend a few days in a tree house and have a nice experience. Unless you do not have problem about sleeping on board and traveling around in a gulet for a few days it can be great experience. But if you don't like sleeping on board, you can stay in Fethiye and see some of those places in daily basis. Not all though...
