i will be visiting Turkey in April,and would like to visit the island of Patmos. can anyone tell me the best way to get there, I presume by ferry. where do we catch the ferry, now much and how long the ride is?
There are 2 routes to Patmos, through Kusadasi to Samos and on to Patmos and through Turgutreis or Bodrum to Kos and on to Patmos. For the ferry from Turkey to Greece http://www.feribot.net/feribot/?lang=en For the ferry from Samos and Kos to Patmos: http://www.gtp.gr If ferry schedules are available now for your travel dates you can do a trial booking to see how long the ride is and the price. Depending on the timetables it may be necessary for you to spend the night somewhere either coming or going, or both.

You can take the Havatas shuttle to Kadıköy. After that, you don't need to go to Harem. You can just go to Metro bus... more
