How long takes to travel by land from Trabzon, Turkey to Batumi, Georgia? How is the border crossing? Takes long? Are there ferries from Trabzon to Batumi?

hi there, you can easily get a bus from trabzon to the border. i think we got our tickets in istanbul, flew from istanbul to trabzon, and then took a bus to the border (something like 3hours, 13 YTL). from the border town (hopa), you get a taxi to the actual border point (only about 10 minutes, should cost 3 YTL per person), walk across the border (takes about half an hour, depending on lines) and then get a taxi on the other side to batumi (again, only a few minutes). there was a helpful posting on this last summer. check out: VT Forum temporarily unavailable

You can take the Havatas shuttle to Kadıköy. After that, you don't need to go to Harem. You can just go to Metro bus... more
