Hello, i would like to know how to go to Sidi Bou Said from Carthage. I will be arriving Carthage around 3pm and would like to see sun set at Sidi Bou Said. Is there a louage (mini van) available for this route (to and from Sidi Bou Said)? Secondly would it be too late to get back Carthage after dinner? Thanks very much!!
There is a train that runs from Tunis to Sidi Bou Said (and beyond, I believe). However, bear in mind that the site of Carthage is actually 11 sites, so the train station may not be convenient.

From Tunis, there is a simple means of transportation to get to scenic La Goulette, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and La Marsa. This is the TGM stands for Tunis-La Goulette-La Marsa.

I was glad to have had a rental car to drive myself around these sites as like hawkhead has said Carthage is all over the place...
