I am planning to go to Tumpat in November. what kind of food I can expect to find there. appreciate VT members can provide feedback and any information on best outletsb that i can patronise. Thanking you in advance.
Hiya, for a good lunch there's a restaurant which is next to the TNB office at Tumpat by the name of Restoran Samudra. This place offer tasteful dishes such as 'Ayam Kampung', soups, local curry called 'gulai' and variety of fried dishes. Only open during day time. If you intend to have a duck curry just travel a bit around 7km to Simpang Geting for a good 'gulai itek'. For dinner, you may go to the Floating Restaurant at Pantai Sri Tujuh to enjoy good Siam style seafood. Personaly i had been there before and their steam mudcrab & 'siakap 3 rasa' really taste so good. Good luck and enjoy!!
