I'll be going to Tulum in early January. I'm looking for advice on hostels and dive shops. More the dive shop, but if possible, I'm looking for two which are connected as usually they will often give you a discount if both sleep and dive with them. But any advice would be good. I've just dove on the Coz side, but the best operator that I used was Blue XTC http://www.bluextseadiving.com/ I dont know if they also operate near Tulum, but they are very laid back and nice and I'm sure if you contact them they can recommend someone for you. You might also check scubaboard.com
