We will be one day visitors at the end of August, 2008. We'll be on a cruise which gets off at Calica (Playa del Carmen). We'd love to visit Tulum ruins, and are thinking of renting a car, seeing the ruins with a guide, then doing a bit of beach time. We're Mormon, and we've heard there are a few Mormon tour guides available. Anyone have any contact information at all, or any advice on how to get one of these guys? Thanks in advance!
Your Temple or Stake may be able to get a list of local Missionaries that could help with that answer. You should try there.

Its unlikely that your Temple, Stake, or Missionaries would be able to provide that sort of information as any LDS guided tour in the Yucatan would not be affliated with the church. However the following link will take your to a site that offers guided LDS tours for Tulum: http://ldstoursmosiah.com/

I suspect this was a fake post as I was sent a very nasty comment from the poster. From my memory, yes it has faded, the local Missionaries meet the local LDS members and have a support group. I was just suggesting that they may know of a tour guide that is LDS. It was a long shot but your site offered is very useful.

Really? Thats to bad that they would do that...I wonder why? Its a shame that someone would want put a fake post and then send you a nasty comment just for trying to answer their question. I know I have appreciated all the help and feedback I have gotten from this site...by the way I love that picture of Vancouver on your homepage...thats a fantastic shot!
