Hi. We are looking at a house in Troo for vacation. We know the area but not the town. It is famous for troglodyte houses (we are not looking at one of those!). I'd love to know what anyone who has stayed there can tell us about the actual town. We know it is on the Loir, a tributary to the Loire River. We know a walking path goes through town, there are the troglodyte houses, a laverie and an interesting church at the top of the hill. Is the town picturesque? How is shopping for food? Are there boulangeries, epiceries, charcouteries, etc.? Even a 8 à Huit would be fine. I'm assuming it's very quiet so if not, please let us know. We do know the area, just not this particular town so any information would be appreciated. Thank you. 8^)
