are there any supermarkets or tobacconists in tremezzo or close by?
The Italian Yellow Pages doesn't list any "supermarkets" in Tremezzo, but they list a couple of grocery stores: galli umberto panificio alimentari == name of store 1/A, Via Ugo Ricci - 22019 Tremezzo (CO) == address, city/state/zip tel: 0344 40213 zanotta giuliana alimentari == name of store 52, Via Monte Grappa - 22019 Tremezzo (CO) == address, city/state/zip tel: 0344 40262 There are likely to be more than this, even if small Mom & Pop operations. As for tobacco, "tabacchi" are a staple in Italy, as they used to also sell salt which was a state monopoly (I guess that's been a while). Also, tabacchi sold bus tickets and passes, and thus many people would go to them even though they didn't smoke. Things have changed, but I would still assume that every hamlet in Italy would have a tabacchi location. The Yellow Pages lists the closest one to Tremezzo as in Griante (less than 2 kilometers away), but I suspect this is because the smallest stores don't bother listing in the Yellow Pages as all of their traffic is local.
