Andaman has a moderate temperature all through the year within the range of 23°C to 31°C. It has a tropical climate. There are no severe climate conditions except for tropical storms and rains in late summers and monsoons.
Summers (March to May) are warm but pleasant with sea breeze and have humidity level about 80%. It is suitable for all kinds of tourist activities.
Monsoons (May to August) and Post Monsoons (September to November) accompany medium to heavy rainfalls.
Winters (December to February) are not chilly and ideal for sight seeing.
Best time to visit Andaman is from October to May.
June to September is prone to thunder storms and heavy rains, which make it difficult for tourists to enjoy the sight seeing.
October to May is ideal for sight seeing and also to engage in water sports activities.

The weather is generally pleasant with average annual rainfall of 3,000 mm at Port Blair . The rainy season happens twice a year under the influence of Southwest monsoon in mid-May to September, and Northeast monsoon in November To January.

In Nicobar Island rainy season dominates round the year, with the region getting most of its rain in the month of June. It's quite hot in the months of March to May in the Andamans.

One can visit these islands in between the months of October to May; however, November To March is a much preferable time.

October to May: Very Predictable, Like Clockwork

During the beginning of northeast monsoon, around December, the wind can be strong at times, 15-25 knots, so the Gulf of Thailand experiences fairly high waves and often times boats to Koh Samui or Koh Tao can not run due to the height of the waves. Because Phuket is on the other side of the Isthmus Kra, the land protects us from most wind and only certain dive sites are effected and difficult to get to at this time. This can be in December or January, usually not both.

This pattern is very consistent and very predictable, so the boat captains know what to expect and rarely do we need weather reports or weather satellite updates. It's pretty much how it is every day. We can plan our travel times according to the tides to avoid the chop, then get to a nice anchorage and enjoy ourselves.

I HOPE THIS IS LIL HELP TO U

Late November is much better than September which is the month with the most uncertain weather in that area.

The ferry traffic in Andaman sea is closed in low season, which includes September, due to normally rough sea and will start for the coming season in late October.
