We are two seniors who will be in Traben-Trarbach on Sunday, May 16. What is open? What can we do with only one day? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Stores will be closed, the open Sunday was in March. But there is a Hundertwasser exhibition, you can walk along the river, and of course the restaurants are open and you can enjoy a glass of Mosel wine. Thanks for your post. What is the Hundertwasser? We are coming by boat. There will be 100 people, mostly seniors. Some will take an optional tour to Luxenbourg but we have been there several times.

Hundertwasser was an architect,mostly known for his very unusual and very colourful houses. They look like a mixture of oriental castle and playground for children, but are meant to be lived in. hundertwasser.de/index_en.ph... I would certainly go to the exhibition.

I'm sure you'll find the exhibition very interesting then. I don't know if you have a car, but if you do, there is a Hundertwasser house in Darmstadt, de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waldsp... a child care centre in Frankfurt de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunder... and further north a Ronal MacDonald house for families in Essen.

We don't have a car this time. We are on a river ship with 100 senior citizens. Everyone is over 60. We only stop for one day and it is difficult to find things to do with such a short stop. Thanks for your post. I'll read more on line.
