We will be visiting Toronto,Ontario in September 2011. We will be travelling with two small children ages 3 & 5. We would like to visit Marine Land and would also like to spend a couple of days at Niagra Falls. What else is there do do at Niagra Falls? Are there any attractions near by? Does anyone have any suggestions of what else we could do with the kids and where else we could visit. We will be there for one week. Also any suggestions of where to stay? We do not have to stay in Toronto as we will be renting a car. The trip is mainly about the kids. Thank-you
There is a butterfly enclosure close to Niagra Falls that the kids might like. The following link provides a good review of the area niagarafallslive.com/Attract...

First of all, Marine Land is in Niagara Falls, not in Toronto. I'm not sure how much children that young will enjoy looking at the Falls themselves or taking a ride on one of the Maid of the Mist boats. The Falls are illuminated at night, so if the little ones are awake, they might enjoy the view better than the daytime one. The Clifton Hill part of town has the bulk of the tourist entertainment spots that are not directly related to the Falls proper. Other thoughts (again, not for the kids); Niagara-on-the-Lake is a beautiful little town not far from the Falls. A lot of award winning wineries in the area too. Watching ships (large lakers) going through the Welland Canal might be of interest too.

My married with kids friends really enjoyed staying at the Great Wolf Lodge, which is a waterpark / resort. It's near the whirlpool on Niagara River, so maybe 10-15 min outside of Niagara Falls downtown. www.greatwolf.com/niagara/waterpark If your kids are up for it, you can also rent some bikes and bike along the Niagara Bike Trail. It follows the Niagara River. There's also a historic fort (Fort George?) near Niagara on the Lake that sometimes hold reenactments. Not sure if the kids are too young for that. If you are going near Toronto, you can probably check out the African Lion Safari, which is near Hamilton. I guess there's also Wonderland north of Toronto and CNE, Ontario Place, and Centre Island in downtown Toronto.

Beaches- Beaches are one of the most spectacular beauties of this destination which is liked by all visitors. It has terrific beach culture which has something unique about it. Beaches are the primary place to enjoy serenity at its best. It is interesting to know that the metropolis has three main sections of beach. The most famous of these is also known as beach neighborhood. It is a quite popular coastline which is frequently visited by many tourists. The beach is extremely loved by all the guests due to the fun and natural charisma it offers. One can indulge into water sports like boating, scuba diving and swimming to name just a few. Moreover, there are many shops in and around the beaches which offer much to the visitors. There are many cafes and small restaurants which serve sumptuous sea food loved by all those taking Toronto flights

I think perfect place to visit with kids in Toronto is Toronto Zoo and Canada's Wonderland. Apart from it you can visit centre island, Harbourfront, Casa Loma and CN tower.
