Niagara Falls Marathon

Can you please advise if the Niagara Marathon is on Sunday 24th? If so will this cause a problem for us driving down there from Toronto?. Also we are staying at the Embassy, will there be a problem getting to that hotel? and finally if it is on will it stop us being able to do any of the attractions ie maid of the mist ( I believe Sunday is the last day of the Season ) we really do want to do this? thanks for any help or guidance..

You can probably find some of the answers you need here, I don't know how many people run this one but I can tell you that here in Chicago on marathon day, traffic can get very screwed up if you happen to be driving along the course. The link I gave you has the course, try to avoid it if during the marathon hours as they have the streets blocked off for hours before, during and after http://www.niagarafallsmarathon.com/

Yes, it is next Sunday the 24th. Check http://niagarafallsmarathon.com/ for details. Based on the limited course map niagarafallsmarathon.com/cou... it appears to start in the US and finish at the Falls. Driving will most likely be problematic at the falls and around the area, but depending on when you plan to arrive it might be tolerable. I didn't see any comments about the Maid being impacted other than from the crowds coming to watch the finish.
