Hello, for a project for my studies concerning History of First Nations in Ontario and Québec (specializing on the Iroquois Confederacy) I will travel to the cities in Canada to do some research. I am desperately looking for a museum in Toronto focusing on that or an exhibition in a museum in September. It should be a museum in the city. Is there some data in the National Museum? Thank you for your help!
There's a really good museum in Brantford, Ontario

To Brantford I will go for an extra-day, because I think it´s really worth seeing!! But I need to despeartely know: Does the ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM contain information and data on First Nations (esp. in the area of Ontario -> Iroquois Confederecy)? The problem is: I need more than 1 project (which is Brantford) for T.O.! Thank you for help!!

I would email the ROM and ask them specific questions. Then you will know.

But in Toronto, the cultural capital of Canada, there are no museum focusing on First Nations History??? Apart from the ROM? I do not want to make so many excursions out of T.O. and do not have the time, unfortunately... Thank you for help.

Golly, that's contentious - Toronto the cultural capital of Canada!! There is an excellent museum of Haida and West Coast Indians in Vancouver, if you get that far. For First Nations, then it will be Brantford that you should head for and you will be able to talk to all sorts of people there.
