      Best places to see....

      Cuba Feb 4, 2015 at 4:36 PM

Hello travel buds! I am in the early stages of planning a trip to Cuba this coming winter.
Has anyone been there lately? And, what places do you recommend seeing?
      What activities to participate in?
Best places for lodging? And is it OK to travel alone? I am a single female and have always wanted to travel here.

Thank you for any advice you can give! :-)

      Vintage car tours

      Havana Feb 1, 2015 at 2:09 PM

We are spending 4 days in Havana in May and would love to do a tour of the city in a vintage/ classic car.
Would we be better waiting until we arrive to arrange this?
1 company on line has quoted a cost of $270 for a 2 hr city tour with lunch- which seems quite expensive.
Does anyone have any idea of the costs if we wait until we arrive or know of a good car and driver available for hire ?
      Thank you

      Smoking cigars in Cuba

      Cuba Feb 6, 2015 at 12:16 PM

My husband enjoys an occasional cigar after a meal out on holiday but can anyone advise what is the situation in Cuba regarding smoking.
Our hotel in Havana is probably ok.. I believe they have a cigar lounge , where he can go to enjoy a cigar after dinner.
But in other places --ie bars/ restaurants ect ----Do the have designated smoking areas or would he have to go outside.
      Thanks
