Hi...I'll be in Tokyo this December. Can anyone suggest a place where I could purchase good quality frozen steaks like Matzusaka or Kobe beef? I know one can easily get them at the meat section at Takashimaya but I was hoping to get them a bit cheaper maybe someplace else in Tokyo...thanks.
Are smaller stores in the Ginza area open on Sunday ? please send detailed instructions on how to get to Hundred Stay Hotel in Shinjuku 2-27-7 Hyakunincho, Shinjuku-ku from Narita. Thanks so much.
Hello all! I was hoping you could help me clarify a thing or two about my upcoming Tokyo honeymoon. We are really looking forward to it and have the majority of it planned out already. The one thing that I’m still having an issue with is getting from the Narita Airport to my hotel (the Dai Ichi Hotel Seafort) in Shinagawa. During the day this seems like it would be very easy with lots of different options, but my flight does not arrive to Narita until 8:45 PM. We are trying to figure out what the most cost effective and direct way to do it without having to lug our bags on the Subway with us or cough up the dough for a cab ride. These are our options that I could narrow it down to, but I was wondering if anyone else had some insight.
1. If we’re done with customs, luggage pick up by 9:25PM I could take the Limo Bus to the Haneda Airport. Once we’re at Haneda we’re significantly closer and could grab a taxi or the monorail to get to the Hotel.
2. When I plug my flight information into here: http://naa.ivcreation.com/pc_us/ it correctly has me arriving at 20:45 but then pops up with this info:
Route1 Departing Narita-Airport at10:55-Arriving Tennozu-Isle at13:09
1Times Travel time 2h14m
Departing at 10:55
Arriving at 13:00 Airport bus routes 2h5m
Tennozu-IsleHotel Tokyo Seafort
Arriving at13:09 Walking 9m
Which leads me to believe this bus is departing at 10:55 AM as opposed to 10:55 PM.
I was hoping someone with experience might be able to help simplify the best travel methods for us to use. This is really the last big piece of the puzzle that needs to be taken care of, then I could put it to rest and focus all my worrying on the wedding :)
Hey guys, a friend and me are in Tokyo for 2 weeks during christmas and silvester.

how do you call these relatively cheap beer bars (usally not on the mainstreets more on the back hidden between buidlings) where you also eat something: business guys come after work to get drunk (wooden cupbaords above the tables for the laptop cases)?
We've been here very close to Niwa hotel and it was such great bargain and reliable good food that we'll go again in a minute
I am traveling from Chicago to Beijing and I have 20 hour lay over at the Narita airport - arriving 8:30P. I plan to spend the night in downtown Tokyo--have reservation at the Aisia Center of Japan Hotel, 8-10-32 Akasaka,, Minatoku, Akasaka. What would be the most straightforward transportation from the airport to the hotel? best option? If train, what train and station station to get off. Finally, My wife and I are over 65, what would be available to see on Friday night and Saturday morning prior to catching a 5:30P flight at Narita airport. Your suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.
Next month I will be visiting Japan for the first time. I'll have my iPhone with me and it'll be unlocked. Can anyone offer any advice about where I could go to get a SIM card and data plan for Japan at a reasonable rate? Note: I'll be there for exactly 3 weeks, then off to Singapore and Hong Kong.
My girlfriend will be in Tokyo for business and has her hotel reservations set. Is there a policy that would prevent me from staying with her during her trip? I guess my concern is any additional fees even though we won't require any additional bed/mattress, but I'm not on her reservation. The hotel itself is on the fancy end (4+ star?)

I am arriving at Haneda airport on Thursday evening, around 20:10, and am scheduled to leave from Narita at 11:00 the next day. I have never been to Japan before, but would love to spend this 14-hour delay seeing part of the city. Does anyone have any advice?
---Should I go directly to Narita and wait it out, or is it best to rent a hostel to store my luggage?
---How could I best experience Tokyo's nightlife? I have never been to Japan before, but would love to experience as much as I could. Where should I go? What should I do?
HI, I am going for 5 days in Tokyo, I haven't looked any guide yet...but I am really afraid about the budget ;-)
What would be the best budget area to stay in? max 50usd/night, I don t mind hostel, and using the metro.
My friend and I are going to Tokyo in a month for three weeks. We prefer to stick to a city and really get to know it. I've heard Kyoto is a more traditional city. Being 24 and from NYC, we prefer a more "city" experience, so my friend recommended Osaka.
Would 2 weeks in Tokyo and 1 week in Osaka be a good idea?
