Y76000 includes what? Hotel, transport, food... ? I'll just assume it's all in there. Yes, it's possible, two hotel rooms, one of those being for three people. Take a look at my Tokyo page here for some answers: "My Guide To Japan" - SfumatoPants's Profile I recommend the Sunroute Shinbashi for a hotel: http://www.sunroutehotel.jp/shinbashi/ For hotels try searching Central Tokyo on Rakuten Travel (They are the Amazon of Japan). You can get a good idea of what is offered at what price ranges from there. http://travel.rakuten.com/ I found this very quickly at Rakuten: http://www.villa-omori.co.jp/ a twin room for Y7400/night.

I second the Sunroute Shimbashi! @SP recommended it to me for my September 2011 visit to Tokyo and I was very pleased with it! The room is small but had everything you need - even a bath tub and tea making facilities! It even has a ladies' floor with extra amenities for ladies! ;-) I could see Tokyo Tower from my window. The hotel is also very close to the Shimbashi station and walking distance to Ginza! Food in the area is plentiful and wonderful! And there's a Wilson's connected to the ground floor of the hotel via an internal door.

Hi Teresa...it's a widespread misconception that Japan is an expensive place to travel. Surveys show that a lot of foreign visitors are surprised with how inexpensive Japan can be despite the generally high quality of goods and services and even when the yen is strong. The reality is that with careful planning and a little know-how, it is easy to enjoy a budget trip in Japan. Try out the standard budget oriented places like youth hostels, dormitories and inexpensive business hotels, there are also some unique types of accommodation, which you may want to try out, such as capsule hotels, manga kissa ,3 or 3.3 star hotels.. If you prefer Japanese style accommodation, consider a minshuku (Japanese style bed and breakfasts) or low budget ryokan (Japanese style inns). They typically charge between 5,000 and 10,000 yen per person per night, sometimes including one or two meals. Generally speaking, buses are the most practical and economical option for budget travelers. Some overnight trains can also be economical, especially for Japan Rail Pass holders,...as you are first time visitor to Japan i would suggest you to take tour packages..i am assure that you will get one in your budget try out Yatra the online portal travel agency their service is great...

Right! I spent 37000 Yen on 4 nights' stay at the Sunroute Shimbashi and had about 30,000 Yen to spend for the 5 days I was in Tokyo (5D/4N).. I recall withdrawing 30,000 Yen at the 7-11 ATM! Though I had some yen with me on arrival, I ended up going back with an excess! But then I was only in Tokyo and can't recall if I paid with cash or credit card for the train ticket to/from Hakone (I think it was cash!).
