re Mt. Fuji

Hi anybody been to mount fuji, chip in: 1) is mt fuji snowcapped in October? planning trip end of sept 2) what is the cheapest way to get to view Mt. Fuji? Where? 3) Does the trip require a full day? 4) if i plan to see it first thing in the morning, are there any accommodations within the vicinity? are they cheap?
