Hi, I have just booked a couple of nights accomodation at a beach house in tobago and have been asked to pay into a british bank account which I have done. Is this usual - suddenly felt panicked that this may be some scam.
This doesn't sound too unusual, just make sure you get some sort of receipt or confirmation for the booking. Many ex-pats live in the caribbean and handle there own rental arrangments. Some prefer to have money sent back from whince they came instead of into a local account. have fun

The Castara? The hotel's request for payment to a UK bank is OK. The service and fees are probably better than with banks in T&T.
