has anyone ever been to tikal from belize? thinking og going from belize in august..suggestions on how to get there?
there are direct busses every day from belize city to tikal. it's all very straight forward, except for the border crossing where you have to line up for a couple of hours.

Hi my name is Helmuth, i live in Antigua and work for a travel agency in Antigua, you can take a bus from Belize to Flores or to the cross to Tikal. and take another one to Tikal. Or you can flight to Flores and then take a bus to Tikal The cross to Tikal is 30 mts after the border crossing. Hi, When I went I took a bus from Belize City to San Ignacio on the border, stopped for a little look around and then took a bus to Flores from there - nice and easy no probs. Sean
