I will be staying in Puerto Morellos for 8 days and on one of those days I'd like to visit Chichenitza, Vallodolid and a cenote.
Most tours seem to go to Ik Kil but I have read that the best cenote is Dzitnup. Which do you think are the best cenotes and and do you know of any tours which include Dzitnup, Chichenitza and Valloladid?
Or is it possible/easy to visit them in one day with public transport/taxi? How much does this cost?
      Thanks in advance

    • How to avoid timeshare scam and have a safe vacation in Cancun

      Cancún 16 hours ago

I am planning to have an 30 years anniversary vacation with my wife in Cancun this September/2013. I've been reading all the review from all experienced travelers and most of them are involved with timeshare sale scam. Not only get into the scam and ruin the whole vacation for most of them which I feel very sad when reading it. After refused or withdraw from the scam deals, they were treated like a second citizens or bottom line tourist. We never get out of US since we married and love the beaches a lot. I've heard it's beautiful beaches and resorts in Cancun and wanted to have a great vacation with my love. But it's seem like unsafe with all the situation that I've seen from all the review. It's happened in most of the resorts there. Any advises is appreciated. I am thinking to travel with US might be safer? Thank you for any input.

I am taking my passport and Canadian PR card. Do I have to show my US visa or the status I have in the US? Thanks in advance for the advise. Oh .. any precaution during staying in TJ? Also I like to fly out from TJ to my home county. What do I need? Cheers!!!!

I'll be toting a carry on suit case.Just exactly what is the distance. My husband said its about half a city block. Any advice on what I should not wear? Do I need to hide wedding rings? Hello everyone. This may sound like a dumb question, but I'm planning on driving over into Tijuana this weekend in my 2011 Honda Civic. What are the chances that it will be stolen/burglarized over there. Do you guys recommend parking somewhere in SD and walking across? If so I would really appreciate ideas on the best and closest places to park. Thank you so much.

Hi, A group from our company is traveling to Tijuana for business. Our hours will be long and very busy. I am trying to plan some fun events during the week after work hours (after 5PM). I would love to take the group to see a mariachi band in a comfortable, restaurant like setting (rather than a street performer - not that there is anything wrong with that, but some members may feel umcomfortable going out - besides our company policy may not even allow us to do some street tourism). So back to my question; do you know of a nice restaurant that has a live mariachi band? any other suggestions of what we can do where they feel safe and I can still proudly show off the nice things that my country has? (I'm mexican, but do not know Tijuana well) Regards!!!

Hi folks! I have a flight from Tijuana airport. I am planning to walk across the border to Mexico with two heavy big bags(35 pounds each). Here is my plan: 1. Take a trolley to the border from San Diego airport. 2. Have 2 wheels card loaded with my bags unloaded from the trolley. 3. Walk across the border while carry my 2 wheels card loaded with my bags. I assume that there is no documents control and no luggage control on the border. 4. Take a cab right on Mexican border to Tijuana airport. Hope the price will be around20. Does this plan sound reasonable for you? I assume all of that should take no longer than 2 hours to get to Tijuana from San Diego Airport. Please help. Thank you.

Well my cousins and I are planning to drive to Tijuana June 26th, just for a weekend. But I do not have a passport! Of course I have my birth certificate and a valid US ID, but I heard that its the law now that you need to have a passport to come back to the US. But Its pretty much impossible for me to get one by the 26th of this month! It takes forever to get it mailed to you. What would be the consequences if I go without a passport?

Hi, I'm a student of a liberal arts high school. Me and a few classmates, as well as about five adults, teachers, translators, documentary directors and such, are all going to Tijuana in order to document illegal immigration and some of the humanitarian crisis. I really want to go but from what I understand I have some things to fear. I mostly want to go to do a report on the street kids. I know they're mostly like me, but I am a little ashamed to admit that I am afraid of them. Does anyone have any tips or ideas to stay safe. Mostly ideas that don't have to do with 'just don't go'. Comments are so very appreciated.

We always cross at Tecate because we are from Colorado. We happen to be in Calif. the last time we went to Baja and going south it was a snap. After the winter we needed to go back to Riverside Calif so we went back through TJ. Untill we got close to the crossing things seemed to be somewhat marked but at the last moment things did not go good as we missed the turnoff to the boarder and went east a long way untill we could turn around and get back to the west crossing. Help! Is there a good map showing the way north or help as to what to look for?? Thanks Steve
