Can i come in and out from Tijuana with only green card?

I am 2 years away from becoming an American citizen and do not want to bother renewing my Japanese passport. But i am a green card holder...I just want to take a trip to Tijuana..

The answer to your question would depend upon the restrictions placed on your green card status. Sometimes, a "do not leave the country" requirement is in place. I suggest that before you enter Tijuana, you stop at the Immigration offices on the USA side and ask them to check your status, if not too busy, they can do this by computer and inform you if it is okay or not to go out of the country and return again on your green card.
