I have bought a tour for 5D4N in Beijing. But I have booked my flight ticket to arrive in Tianjin 2 days earlier than Day 1 of tour and also my departure flight is a day after the last day of the tour itinerary. This means I have at least two and a half extra days on my own. How much time should I spend in Tianjin? I arrive in Tianjin at about 3 pm and have two days before joining the tour. Thank you.
Tianjin has a couple of mildly interesting sites. Ancient Culture Street and a Confucian Temple. And a day trip to Huangyaguan (part of the Great Wall) is possible. But this is a maximum of 2 days total.

I don't know what's included in your Beijing tour, but there are dozens of interesting day trips you could take.

(c)Visit National Centre, Qianmen Walking Street, Zhengyangmen Tower. 16th Tour - (a)Visit Juyongguan Great Wall (b)Visit 13 Ming Tombs (c)Visit Olympic Green, Beijing Olympic Stadium/Bird's Nest, Water Cube. (d)Visit Wangfuqing Street. 17th Tour - (a)Visit Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Dong Bian Men Gate, Yaxiu Market. 18th Free whole day. 19th Free till midday when I catch my flight from Tianjin at 3.50 pm.
