I have seen pictures and this hike looks amazing! But unfortunately I can't find a lot of information about the length or level of difficulty of the hike. Our time in Interlaken is very limited so I want to do as much of the planning now as I can so we don't waste any time. We will be there the first week in June.

in some cities/towns I saw advertisements of photographers in the main streets. Does anyone know is there something like that in Interlaken? We would like to order a 1 hour photo session in that region. Do any agancies in Interlaken have such service?
I am trying to book a train ticket from Zurich to Interlaken however, the website is only giving me dates with no times. Can you buy a roundtrip ticket and use that ticket at whichever time you'd like?

We would like to go to Jungfrau on Saturday 1st June due to an special offer for Spanish people but with this offer is compulsary to make the reservation on-line and then print the tickets in paper (it is not possible to buy the tickets at the station).
We have contacted the hotel but they have told us it is not possible to do it at the hotel.
As weather predictions can vary a lot from one day to another, it is complicated to reserve it before leaving home.
So, could anybody inform us about if there is any place at Interlaken where we could book and print the tickets or how could we solve the problem?

Someone told me that best way to enjoy Switzerland is stay in area of Brienz, Thun lake, Spiez,?and not the most popular Interlaken?
we would be in Switzerland for the first time & our stay is for 6 nights.We would be visiting must see sight seeing and places for the first time visitors
any suggestions where to make a base ?any suggestion for apartments ,Hostels, hotels??

Hello all I'm curious about visiting this museum when i visit Thun this Summer. I've heard it's attached to an Army base. Have any VT'ers been there? If so, can you advise on whether i need to make an appointment to visit or whether photo's are allowed? I couldn't find an email address online for the Museum either, so if anyone can help there i would appreciate it. Also, if you could give me some idea of where the museum is in relation to Thun city itself, then that would be great! Also, if you know a reasonably priced place in Thun to stay i'd love to hear it :) Thanks everyone! DG

Hello We are a family of four, 2 Adults and 2 children (1x14 and 1x11). We have a hire car and have 5 nights in Thun, Switzerland 20th-25th January 2009. We are coming from Lake Como and after Thun are driving to Geneva. While in Thun we would prefer a self catered apartment but are also open to the suggestion of a good B&B. Does anyone have any suggestions ? Also any tips on MUST SEES while we are in Thun as we intend to do day trips out and about, love to get off the tourist track and just capture the experience of the locals and other cultural experiences of the area. Hello, My husband and I are taking a night train from Venice to Bern. We were going to spend the day in Bern and then travel on to Thun and make that our "base". We are really needing some time to relax, go hiking etc. take a boat ride to interlaken etc. Any ideas on hotel/resorts in Thun (preferred on Lake Thun) would be appreciated.
We will be staying at Lake Thun in July and know it is a 15 minute walk to Interlaken. Are there regularly scheduled buses or trams to Interlaken for a faster daily "commute" from hotel to Interlaken? Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks.
