I will be visiting Trivandrum this July and would like to photograph the white Buddha in the Napier Museum. Cameras are forbidden and I have been unable to find an email address for the director. Has anyone any suggestions? Thanks, Chris
I wonder if this is the contact point which would help: Director, Department of Museums and Zoos, Museums Compound, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 033, Kerala State, India, Phone : 91 - 471 - 2316275 Fax : 91 - 471 - 2316275 E-mail : museumzoo@sancharnet.in I believe the Napier Museum is part of a complex which includes the zoological gardens. I have not visited; I merely did a search for you.

Unfortunately the email address didn't work...returned by the wretched Post Master! Back to the drawing board... Thanks for trying, Chris

I've sent off several emails to various important-sounding bodies in the hope that my small request can be satisfied. It was really frustrating last time I was there especially since there was a whole troupe of camera men snapping away freely.

Understand entirely. You could always try faxing or phoning, I suppose. Won't be cheap but might give you a way in?
