All airports have a prepaid taxi service counter, near the exit. Book from there itself, otherwise it is best to get a taxi from the hotel you have booked into.

Hi, Trivandum airport is quite small and easy to negotiate. The pre-paid taxi stand is almost next to the exit, on your left-hand side. If I remember correctly, I did write a tip on my Trivandrum page. Enjoy this wonderful city.
