hello i'd like to know the timetable of buses from thessaloniki to skopje. the wep page of thessaloniki bus station is http://www.ktel-thes.gr ; but interestingly, even if i choose the english version, it is half english half greek. could anyone help me? thank's a lot
Hi, try this web site http://www.sas.com.mk/index-2%20en.htm Thats the web site of one of the biggest bus transporter from Macedonia. Be sure that after the logging you click on British flag due to have permanent translation. The buses from Thessaloníki(Solun on the web site) are departing Monday, Wednesday and Friday but I don,t know the exact time. What I know that from Skopje the departure is 06:00. On the same web site write a message in "contacts" and they will inform you about correct time and place of departure from Thessaloníki{I assume around evening) That was my best sorry Ezerski

"Two trains leave Thessaloniki daily for Skopje. One at 5:57am and another at 17:04. As far as i know, it's the same every day. The cost is €12 one way and the journey takes in the region of 4 to 5 hours. The train stops on both sides of the border for 20 to 30 minutes on each side so police can do passport checks." Source Tripadvisor Thesaloniki -Skopje buses are not really reliable as there is not official agreement between the tow countries for over border transport of passengers. The ones listed on www.sas.com.mk are buses operated by private bus service and is mostly seasonal(Tourist agencies). As many tourist agencies do connect Skopje with Chalchidiki in the summer months via Thessaloniki. To bi honest even the train is not officially sanctioned from the Greek side. That is Thessaloniki-Munich train going via Skopje-Belgrade-Zagreb-Vienna to Munich. It has to pass via Macedonia (Skopje) to get to W Europe hence regular service. http://albatrans.com.al/ this site shows 3 busses per day from Tirana to Thessaloniki, so probably they return also 3 times a day. You can contact the buscompany, see right above the bus picture. maría
