I just need someone to go to Luxor with, as my husband doesn't want me to go alone. We went in Jan. so he imagines the hassle I may get. So I need someone that wants to do their own thing like I want to, and just meet up for major stuff and to have someone as a source of help. I have Egyptian friends there and I know I will be fine, but it will reassure my husband if I get a travel partner. I'm interested in June. I'm not talking about sharing a hotel room.
Hi all, This is the first time my wife and I are going to Egypt (Karnak). We read a lot of tips on this site. But I still have some questions. We would like to see the tumbs of the Nobles, how much time (usually) must we reserve for this visit (a whole day, half a day???). We also would like to go to Abydos, can anyone tell us what is the best way to get there (boat, train, taxi, bus????). Last, but certainly not least, the "baksheesh", how much should we give for, let's say, a boy calling a taxi for us, or someone that helps us find our way, things like that???? We are leaving on February the 17th, so please, give us as much answers as possible. All tips are welcome. Thank you! Jan
