Good day! How much the ferry from Orlando to Paradise Island Bahamas?
I am looking for a nice public beach near the docked cruise ships to spend time with my family. We don't really have time for an excursion because the ship leaves in early afternoon. All that I have found are pricey excursions with very minimal time to play at the beach. We are going for the sand and water experience. Can anyone help?
What time do the shops downtown close? I know the straw market closes between 5-6.
Where can we rent adult bikes w child seats for 2 children age 2 & 5?
I want to go to the beach near to the cruise port because i have to meet my friends back there at 1pm. what is a super close beach that is in walking distance or only a short (10 min or under) cab ride away?
How much should I expect to pay for a cab from the airport to the Brownstone's condo rentals? (on Marlin Drive.)
My wife myself and our 3 teenage boys are looking to travel to Grand Bahama Island for 1 week in early August. We are looking for an area that has good fishing. We would like to find a resort that let's you rent kayaks and fishing gear and be able to go out from the resort and reef fish from the kayaks. We also are looking for spear fishing opportunities and lobster hunting. Snorkeling is also an activity that we would greatly enjoy however reef fishing is the main reason we are going to Grand Bahama Island. If anyone can recommend captains or resorts that fit these guidelines it would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a public fishing pier on Grand Bahama Island? I can only find 'guided' fishing trips. We just want to fish from shore or a pier. We will be arriving on a cruise boat.
i'm taking my kids on a 4 day cruise to freeport and nassau, we will have 1 day in each place, i've done some reading, and i'm looking for a nice beach, clean with ammenities like restrooms, maybe shopping nearby, jet ski rental, some reviews say beaches are clean, some say they are dirty, my kids are ages 21 to 11, which beach should we go to? i'm leaning toward paradise beach or lucaya....and whats the best most economical way to get there?
Hello all,
I am planning a 3 night 4 day vacation to the Caribbean sometime in April 2013 with my wife. I am looking for an all-inclusive package deal (food-flight-hotel). Can someone suggest a good location and a website for affordable resorts. We are not looking for anything over the top or fancy.
Thanks in advance
Al
Hi! My boyfriend and me would like to book a round-trip on the Bahamas in may. (Nassau - Grand Bahama - Abaco - Eleuthera - Cat) The flights are expensive and the most flights are available just with a stop on Nassau. Are there other possibilities to hop from island to island? I heard about those water taxies. Are they available any time and between all islands? We want to make sure not to sit on a island and not coming away anymore. Sorry for my english ;) Please help us! We don't know what's better: to book every transfer now or to look when we're there?? THANK YOU!
How much is a taxi ride for a family of eight from the airport to the Atlantis?
Can anyone tell me if they require infants to be in special seats on buses or taxis. I have twin 15 month old girls and we are traveling to Nassau in May 2013 on a cruise and want to travel to Cable Beach at Port in Nassau. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
We are a group of 6 adults on a cruise stopping in Bahamas, (Nassau). We are thinking of riding the ferry to Paradise Island. We want to find a free beach with changing facilities. It can be on Nassau though. Any other must see day trip while we stop at Nassau instead of beach? Thanks

Hi all My wife and I are thinking of spending a week in Abaco at the beginning of March as we will be in Floida for a week and it makes sense to extend our stay. The Abacos Islands look fantastic and easy to get to. Any ideas on where to stay? Reasonable and Romantic? The alternative would be to spend some time in Florida Keys. Is this a good option? Any help great fully received. Thanks
Can I rent a guitar at Grand Bahama Island for a week? Is there a guitar / music store on the island?
Hi everyone, we are planning to visit the Island of Great Exuma in Octobre 2013. I was checking air fares with some travel sites but about %820 was the best price I could get to make the Trip from Miami to George Town and back one week later. Does anyone know of a local company that could serve us on a cheaper alternative? Unfortunately, we are already fixed to certain dates as we arrive in Miami on 10/9 and have to leave from there on 10/16 at about 5pm, so a direct connection by airplane would be most convenient for us. Any help would be really appreciated.
As I look at the map I see that there are more than one port for cruise ships....which port does carnival dock?

Does the Viva Wyndham Fortuna beach resort have a shuttle bus to and from the port?
Hi! We're a family (kids 9 and 12)from Norway travelling to NY in November - we're then thinking of flying out to The Bahamas for a weeks break before heading home. We'd ideally like somewhere fairly quiet, nice beaches and a relaxing atmosphere. We'd prefer to avoid big hotels and areas where all historic influence and authenticity have been wiped out. Any suggestions on which areas would be a good to have a closer look at? Anne :)
Hi, all. Our group is doing a girls' trip to Nassau mid-July. This will be (collectively) our first trip to Bahamas. We've figured out flights and where to stay, but we are not really interested in doing the whole Atlantis/Casino scene. We'd really like to find out how to explore some of the more primitive beaches and also we'd like to know the best way(s) to get ourselves to some of the out islands, especially Eleuthera. Any and all comments, suggestions, warnings, sarcastic jabs, free money, free anything....would be appreciated. ;-)
Hi, we're considering going back to Freeport soon but are really interested in the better fishing and snorkeling sights. We went to high rock last time but unfortunately if was mostly high tide while we were there and of course as is with most cruises our time was very limited. The best part of our trip strangely enough was our taxi driver (Marco Roberts 242-442-8372 #458) who also acted as an excellent tour guide, but we really already had our minds made up about the beach instead of asking if he knew any better places to snorkel that time of day. Does anyone have any information on the best places to snorkel at high or low tide on the island? Deals on fishing trips, etc?
I am arriving on Bahamas Celebration cruise ship to the Grand Bahama Island soon and the last time I arrived I only saw that their were taxi's availible to get to the mainland that were very expensive. Is there bus transportation from the port to the mainland that I might have overlooked last time I was there. I hear that there is bus transportation on the Island but Im not sure if it is available at the port. Please help me and my friends save a few pennies so we can have more fun with the drinks once at the mainland. Kevin
Hi I am looking for some discount/charity stores in Nassau; in the US they are usually run by charities such as Salvation Army, Goodwill, Cancer Society and sell pretty much anything one might need for a house (clothing. kitchen wares, glassware, pots and pans, china, etc etc). Or something similar to 99cents or Dollar Tree stores where everything costs1. Anything like that in Nassau??? Very helpful if someone can inform me. Thanks vivalapant
Planning a trip to Nassau. Will be staying at the Atlantis Reef Hotel and will need grocery items. Are there any supermarkets near by or in walking distance? What is the best way to get to them?
Is Blue Lagoon Island worth visiting for the day if you are not planning on the Dolphin Encounter? I am stopping in Nassau for a day on a Disney Cruise, and cannot afford to take my family to the Atlantis excurions. The beach day at the Blue Lagoon Island sounds affordable, and pretty, with lunch included and a few toys to play with in the water. Just wanted any advice...I mostly want to enjoy the day at the beach. I wouldn't mind the dolphin thing, but it seems expensive. I'm not sure how much it costs directly at the island (rather than booking through the Disney Cruise...)
My husband and I are planning a trip to Lucaya from Florida. I heard that you can travel there by cruise ship (air is too costly and we dont really care to go on a typical cuise. I heard discovery cruise use to take passengers there and back to Florida. is there a different company that offers the same commute to freeport?
