BAHAMAS: what to do , where to go, one day trip? ahhhh- no idea :)

hey guys I will come to Miami and suddenly thought of The Bahamas... WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND ME??? I mean which island to see? For how many days? Are those one day trips useful? They go to Nassau and Grand Bahama. Are these places the ones that would offer me nice relaxing sun bath at the sea among the palm trees? I just wanna see really tropical beach and relax for a day or two. I will appreciate all your ideas! thx in advance
