I just wanted to know if there are any tennis courts in Santorini that are independent i.e. not attached to any hotel and open to public. We are staying in Fira for a week. If there are any, do they provide racquets to adults and kids?

I am travelling to zakynthos on May 2nd 2013. I really wish to participate in Orthodox Easter. I am staying at Tsilvi. Obviously, I guess any church would be good but where do you REALLY recommend?

can i charter a small boat on friday 16th August to be able to catch a 13.40pm flight?

My wife and I are fortunate enough to have 3 weeks to spend in Crete this coming summer; woot!

Our main interests are; 1) Seeing historical sites; 2) Enjoying charming towns and good tavernas; and 3) Seeing the ocean.

That said, we are at a quandary regarding where to stay. We do NOT want to move around every few days, so have come up with a few options:
1) Spend 1 week in Sitia, seeing the eastern part of the island; Spend 1 week in Rethymno; Spend 1 week in Chania....and of course, a couple nights Iraklion to fly in and out and see Knossos.

2) Spend 1.5 weeks in Rethymno; and 1.5 weeks in Chania

3) Spend 1.5 weeks in Chania OR Rethymno; spend 1.5 weeks somewhere in the south.
So.... what does everybody think?

Hello . I will be arriving in Naxos on 4th May 2013 ,Easter Saturday . I am staying in Agia Anna . Will there be any shops open so I can buy water & basic groceries . Also I read about a farmers market just outside Chora , how often is this on ?
My first visit to Naxos & travelling alone . I cannot wait for my visit . Any information / tips are welcome .

I would like to know how people travel in and around Athens, Greece? Can we rent a car and drive around or their train system or metro is as good as Italy or any other European countries. Can we take some day trips to Greek Islands? Any suggested ferries websites? Any info on Greek travel would be greatly appreciated.

Currently have 4 days booked in Santorini. Travelling on my own and starting to think that it will be too long. Thinking of going back to Mykonos for the other 2 days. More things to do for a single gay guy. Will 2 days be enough to see the sights of Santorini?

I will be driving from Eriskay to Uig - then hopefully catch the ferry from Sconcer to Raasay and back in time for the ferry which leaves at 4pm on Wednesday 8 May 2013. I am just asking anyone for tips because I have never tried this before! I've stayed in the Uists and Eriskay (love both which is why I am returning).

Any tips re driving/catching the ferries/ etc etc PLEASE would be most welcome. Thanks

I will be travelling to Mykonos in July and plan to propose to my girlfriend while we are there, I have a few ideas whizzing about my head, but can anybody recommend any places, beaches, restaurants etc to give me a bit of starting point? Having never been before I'm going in completely blind, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am visiting Santorini in last week of May for a week with my family. My wife is vegetarian. Will we get vegetarian restaurants ( No fish, no eggs , milk etc is fine ) and also if we decide to cook at home, will we get veg pasta and veggies in grocery shop. If there is an issue , I m planning to carry some of the items from UK.
In santorini we are staying in Fira.

Any thoughts / tips / suggestions

I would like to know how to visit some of the of Greek islands for example Santoroni, Mekonos, Naxos may be Rhodes from Ahtens? how many days we need to travel , I feel one day may not be enough. Please advice me.
I am also thinking in this way, please let me know if this is good. Since we are coming to Istanabul first and planning to fly to Athens after few days in Istanabul, may be we should drive down to Izmir take a ferry from there to these islands and finally reach Athens instead of flying. What do you guys suggest about that route? If we do this way which port we should start on Turkey side? and how many days we need to reach Athens from there. We dont want to spend more time in each island, we just want to have a feel of that place. We are planning to go there later again in few years. I would appreciate as much as information you can give to help me plan my trip, thanks in advance
