Can anyone give me information about bus travel between hat yai and ranong? Does it have to be booked through a travel agent? If so can I have a name, address and telephone number? Or can I get tickets at the bus station? If so, where is this?
Hope you can help.

Hi i'm planning on visiting koh tao and koh samui in the summer for 2 weeks.
I haven't really decided which one I want to stay longer for in but I think it's going to be koh tao. Anyway's I was wondering where should I stay? I would like a little bit of luxury because everything there is so cheap, something close to the beach and that has lots of amenities.
A resort, villa or hotel, whatever! Where have you stayed? What's it like? Also is it wheelchair accessible?
Thanks! :)

I am traveling to Phuket at the end of June for 3-4 days. It will be my first time in Thailand so i'm figuring out where to stay. I've heard that Patong is the most popular beach and heavy tourist area with great night life but I'm looking for something less crowded but still accessible to the night life if we desired. I've heard that Kata or Karon are great areas to stay at as well. I am looking for a 4 or 5 star resort to stay at as well. Appreciate any tips or suggestions. It's a girls trip just to relax, shop and eat and do some site-seeing. If you guys have any site-seeting or activities to suggest that would help as well. I've heard that cooking classes can be really fun. Thanks all.
Hi, has anyone been on the Phuket Food Tour (http://phuketfoodtours.com)? I can't seem to find any reviews or recommendations for this company and am concerned that it is not a reputable company.
Does anyone have any recommendations for other food tours in Phuket?
Response will be much appreciated.
Thanks

Please help with following.
I am going to spend 5 days in Bangkok before continuing my trip to Phuket.
I am planning 1 one day tour to Ayutthaya, and also would like to visit Damnoen Saduak floating market.
I know it is touristic, but I have never seen anything like this.
What would be the best option:
-to make a one day trip from Bangkok
-or, go to Ratchaburi late evening, to sleep there, visit the market early morning, look around in Ratchabury (does it worh a visit? ) and continue my trip with a night train to Surat Thani?
By the way, which is better to Phuket: train and bus, or direct bus?
Thanks for any comments
hit me up if u have knowledge of good guesthouses and/or budget hotels..I prefer $15 or less..thx
Hi Guys,
I am off to Phuket for 4 days by the first week of June. I see that Patong is where the night life is, and obviously more crowded. I was thinking of staying in Patong for couple of nights and couple of nights in Karon or Kata, so I can enjoy a bit of the beachlife too.
Could you recommend some places to stay in Patong, and also some in Karon or Kata?
I would also like to know if there are any places where I could do snorkelling, parasailing, etc near Karon or Kate?
Thanks

Hi i'm planning on going to Thailand this Summer in July/August. I want to get from Bangkok to Koh Tao or Koh Samui. The problem is someone in my group is in a wheelchair and cannot take high speed ferries or do anything dangerous/sketchy like that.
Can someone please let me know how it would be possible to get there? thanks
This may sound crazy - however, my friend and I live in the US where we both own Yamaha waverunners. We have been in Laos and Thailand recently and we are now interested in buying two new waverunners, in Thailand/Laos, and traveling down the Mekong River from the Golden Triangle to Mukdahon. (flexible on locations actually)
We would want to purchase the waverunners - take the trip - and then sell them back as used. We would also be looking to hire a Yamaha mechanic to try and follow along our trip with a truck with a double waverunner trailer in case we need to have repairs - or need to pull the boats out of the water. Do you know of anyone that has done this? Would it be allowed?
Not even sure where to look to find out about this.
Thanks in advance.
hello everyone,
I am planning a 16 day trip in Thailand. I will start in Bangkok and head towards south to Khao Sok National Park. My final destination will be koh samui to relax and enjoy my last couple of days.
My question:
I want to have a few stops between Bangkok and Khao Sok National Park. What would u recommend me? I want to experience some local stuff, nature, hiking, beaches, motorcycling.
I take into consideration to stop at Phetchaburi and Hua Hin. What u guys can recommend me?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Kind regards
Jörg
which is the best micro sim data plan for a week, available in Bangkok?
hi nomads...im not sure which airport i'll arrive at yet-but does anyone have good tips on the cheapest way into town, last time i was in Thailand i arranged a taxi from the taxi ranks and that was a rip- like $20 BUCKS approx..
My husband and I will be in Chaing Mai next week, we had already organised a private tour but the guide has cancelled for personal reasons with his family. This leaves us looking, we do prefer private tours and not going to all the places that are a gimmick we want to see the real Chiang Mai and it' people. If anyone has a good and reliable contact who is reasonable and not wanting to scam us we would really appreciate it.

Does anyone know of a safe, cheap place to store luggage in Bangkok for about 5 weeks?
A friend and I will be travelling throughout southeast Asia this summer. He and I are both climbers and plan on spending about a week or so climbing in the Krabi area. It would be impossible for us to go to Thialand and not climb, however he and I dont want to carry a rope around for seven weeks. Is there anywhere that will rent ropes in Krabi? I know about the guided climbing and that it is relatively cheap , but that hurts my pride a little. I would rather be independent and have the option to multipitch. Also is it common to find people climbing in Krabi with a rope looking for a belay partner?
checked the ferry schedule and it looks like the last ferry from coral island back to pattaya is at 6pm--does this ever get too crowded and they don't let everyone on? this would be on a tuesday. thanks.
Not sure if should do a night river cruise OR have dinner at bed supper club--will just have two nights in bkk, first night, which is a Saturday, thinking cabbages and Condoms for dinner, patpong night market then drinks at our hotel, banyan tree. Then the next night (after having a private driver take us to grand palace, chucktuck and maybe mbk, then the question is the cruise or bed. All the cruises are for two hours, I think that is long since we don't want to eat on the boat. Bed supper club seems interesting, but don't want to miss out on bkk at night.
Just wondering if the bkk metro had tons of riders late at night on weekends, ie I don't want to be getting on a desolate subway at 11pm. I think the stations we will be going to are lumpini, sukhumvit and si lom.
We are going to be staying at the banyan tree and their website says its a ten minute walk to the limphini mtr-- just wondering if this is a safe area to be walking in around 10-11pm at night? Thanks
Odd question but I am coming to Pattaya end of this week. I also plan to get myself checked for STDs.
Which hospital / clinics you recommend who specialize in this and have doctors speaking English.i will be there for 5 days and will stay close to walking street.
On a similar note would love to meet friends as I am a lone traveller ( 35 Male)

I'm planning on being in Phuket at the end of this month. I was just wondering if there is anyone else who is planning a trip out there around the same time. I think it would be very interesting to party in Thailand with people from around the world.
