Long-term stay in Thailand

by Maria_75 Online Now Jan 30, 2008 at 11:26 AM

I am thinking of maybe, maybe, maybe staying in Thailand 1-3 months after summer. Maybe even more. My boyfriend is going to write on his project and I am working from home. We have an excellent opportunity of living somewhere else now, and I think we should take it. Our only criterias are 1. cheap-cheap-cheap 2. warm (preferably a little house on the beach... ;) 3. ADSL As we will be working and studying we don't have time for travel so much around, so it would be nice to stay in a place where we can go on 1- or 2-daytrips to nearby places. We don't have so much money, so it has to be in a really cheap place. We have friends who love Thailand, so we were thinking of maybe going there. But we have no idea about any of the places there. Can someone suggest some areas in Thailand where it would be nice to stay for a few months? And how much will it cost pr month to rent a house on or near a beach? We don't need any luxury or a big house, the most important is price and location. Thanks.
