Hey people. I'm in Chengdu with my girlfriend at the moment, and we are looking for something fun to do, that ain't the typical "oh go see peoples park" or "look at something really chinese" - No we want to have fun. Bowl, swim, skate - whatever. Something funny for people who lives here as well. Do you have any suggestions to what we might be able to do ?
Hello, I am very new in this website. And my question is I will be in China on September and at some point will be in Xiamen between Sept 5th til Sept 11th and wonder if anyone can recommend me where to go for textile and electronics shoppings, nice bars and restaurants for evening, if anyone interested we can hang out together as well.
HI Anyone interested in travelling to Tibet this month (August). I am in Kathmandu but the travel agencies have very few trips going there as it is monsoon season in Nepal. I need fly to Lhasa and join a group trip as it is very expensive to have a trip of one person. The friendship highway between Nepal and Tibet is also closed at the moment and will be in September.
hey I am looking for advise..
During next years summer holidays July 2016 I am hoping to travel to china so far my plans are to:
fly from London to Beijing were I intend on spending 5 nights, then fly to Shenzhen were I will be spending 21 nights, then over to Hong Kong for 7 nights.
I have already started looking into costs of flights accommodation and reserved and booked certain parts of this trip ..
its more other expenses that I cant get a general idea of like the cost of food, transport and day to day living cost.
I will be traveling with my 7 year old daughter obviously traveling with a child brings along more worries then going solo, any advise on attractions, things to just any general advice regarding this would be of great help.
Also while in Shenzhen I am hoping to find some volunteer work just 2/3 days week within a school setting ideally summer schools, play group/English school ect.. This is just an idea, as I work in education day to day within a high school specialising in working with SEN within a main stream setting, and think this would be amazing opportunity for both me and my child. obviously I would need to find somewhere that wouldn't mind her being with me but as an idea I was wondering if this was possible?
any help would be brilliant
I was planning on spending 3 nights in Guilin before taking Li river cruise to Yangshuo and spending 3 nights there. 6 nights total in the area. But from what I've heard, Yangshuo is the place to be. Is there a lot More do in Yangshuo that Guilin? Should I spend just 1 night Guilin and 5 in Yangshuo?
On another note, We want to do the rice terraces but my dad has bad knees and can't walk long distances or climb. I'd really like to stay there 1 night but with dads mobility issues I don't know if it's a good idea. Would it be better to just do a 1 full day tour to rice terraces? If so, should we take tour from Guilin or Yangshuo?
HI everyone just wanted to know what's the best thing to do for mobile phones, should I by a travel sim from Australia before we depart or is it cheaper to get one in China. We will be travelling all around to different places within China starting in Beijing and ending in Shanghai and I want to be able to phone home a few times.
Thanks in advance.
