We are arriving in Taormina by cruise boat and anchering in Giardini Nexos. Instead of taking a taxi to Taormina, we would like to take a local bus. Does any one have any information regarding location of bus stop, how much will it be and how oftern does it run? Is there any other way to go to Taormina? Is there a funicular service on the shore that we can walk to? and if so how much is it? Any information will be helpful. Thanks,

The funicular is not in Giardini but goes from Taormina to its beach instead. Buses run from several places in Giardini including the train station it shares with Taormina above. Here is a link with timetables (in Italian but easy enough): http://www.etnatrasporti.it/
