Anyone recommend a good tour company to take 2 people on a safari which would last 5 days and include Serengetti, the Crater and the Bushmen Tribe? Thanks
are you referring to San/Bushman? or some other tribe? The San live mainly in the southern part of africa, botswana, namibia and some in south africa and angola.

Exactly, the Bushman are native on the southern African region and I can only assume you confuse them with the Masai which are indigenous African ethnic group people located in Kenya and northern Tanzania.

Hadzabe bushmen tribe in Tanzania. Lots of companies include them on the trips but only for over 7 days

OK, that's explain, but the Hadzabe is very small ethnic group which is living on the Ngorongoro area so if you look for safari company on that area you should ask them for this option to visit this tribe.

Hi Chris! Ahh, love Tanzania!! The main places to see are Serengeti, Ngorogoro, and Lake Manyara, but there are many others as well. If you are looking for reliable operators, I can certainly give you few reliable names. First check out the TATO site to get an overview of the available ones that are registered with TATO. There are about 140+ registered with them. They do tend to be a bit political, and I do know some operators that have been around for years but are not on the TATO list http://www.tatotz.org/ Having done a number of both Kenya and Tanzania safaris, I highly ecommend Makoa Farms. Their specialty is horseback safaris. Even if it is not what you are looking for, check them out anyway. http://www.makoa-farm.com/ Warrior Trails is also well respected. Here is their site. warriortrails.com/About%20Us... Africa Dream Safaris specialize in personalizesd safaris tailormade for you. As such they are a little on the expensive side. http://www.africadreamsafaris.com/ For budget style safaris check out Bobbys Tours. http://www.bobbytours.com/ Kiliwarriors is an ecofriendly operator, and quite capable. http://www.kiliwarriors.com/ If these are not what you are looking for, there are several others I can include as well. Hope this is of help to you. It is a good idea to end a trip to Tanzania in Zanzibar. I prefer to stay in Stone Town, and am familiar with this hotel there It is the Zanzibar Palace Hotel, a small but beautiful and friendly place. Most attractions there are within walking distance. There are others of course, but I do not know them. Here is my page on the hotel. Zanzibar Town Hotel Tips by Odinnthor ....and here is a look at Stone Town....... zanzibar.net/zanzibar/stone_... On the other hand, if you are looking for a beach resort, then I can recommend the Breezes. Check it out. Again, there are others but this one I know. http://www.breezes-zanzibar.com/ Couple of other issues. I see that you have already visited a couple of African countries, so you are likely already aware of medical issues, and what you need. Just in case, I suggest that you visit your doctor regarding travel medicine issues. As you know, malaria is nothing to play with. africantravel.com/medicalreq... Also be sure to include tips in your overall travel costs. Not a good idea to ignore that one. Tipping in Tanzania is similar to what it is in the US. Similar but not the same. On a safari remember that there are more than one person to tip, depending on the quality of the safari. This is a general guide on safari. Driver/Guide: US8 – US20 per day per guide Chef: US8 – US20 per day per chef if it is a an adventure safari in tents. Be aware that this is not really per person. For instance, if you are in a party of four, each should contribute about five buck for a total of twenty bucks a day for the guide. If there is an assistant, half or two thirds of the tip for the guide in enough. On a trek, like a Mt. Kilimanjaro trek, this is a general tipping guide for that type of travel, same rules regarding group tipping as above. Head Guide: US15 – US30 per day per guide Assistant Guide: US10 – US20 per day per guide Cook: US8 – US12 per day per cook Porter: US4 – US10 per day per porter Also know that most tourist frequented restaurants and hotels/lodges are also to be tipped pretty much as you would in the US. Lot of places have tip buckets on the counter. Now if you are alone of with a partner on a safari, simply ask discreetley what is customary, and then compare the response with the above guide, and you will have a fair idea of what to do. This should give you a place to start, and when questions come up, just come back and we will work on it. Good luck planning, and I hope this helps.......d:o)

Hi Bolt I recenlty finished my safari covering both kenya/Tanzania with Lipi Adventure Company www.lipiadvenre-ke.com and while in Tanzania i was luck to visit the only bushmen living in Tanzania THE HADZABE BUSHMEN of the Dagoda community. My guide could not understand thier language properly but with help of a translator we were able to hire him and gave him some thing little as to appreciate his efforts. We were 3of us and were luck to do hunting with the bushmen and killed squirrel. To me this was very fun!It came to my realisation that this area is a touristic attraction because were found another group with of bushmen as we were doing the hunting with the bushmen. After the hunting our guide told us that were supposed to give the bushmen something little as a gift to them because they depend on us for their daily bread. We gave them 2kg of sugar, sweets for thier kids,3t-shirts and 3loaves of breads that we had carried and they real appreciated. You can email info@lipiadventure.com and contact hussein of Lipi Adventure.

Hey! Might be late but there is possibility to visit this small community of early African people "The San", living in the middle of larger community such Bantu, Cushitc and Nilot are extension of other San found further south in the centrer of the country are Sandawe. Sandawe has slight different with Khoi-San of Souther Africa. So ask any tour operator of your choose to arrange the itinerary which will gave you chance to see these people before they disappear.
