Tangier walking tours

Hi, I have just read a report by Barbski dated in 2008 about using a 'walking tour' when in Tangier. Does anyone know where and how to find one of these tours when we leave the ferry from Spain. I think we would much prefer to join a few other people for a couple of hours checking out the medina etc. rather than go by ourselves with a guide...many reports seem say this can often lead to just being taken to carpet shops etc for the hard sell.
