Best route from Orlando

What is the best route to take from Orlando (probably around Disney area-haven't picked the hotel yet)to the Tampa baseball game? It will be around 3pm on a Thursday. We will be driving back that night. I've mapquested, but any "local" hints would be great. Also, anything else we should really see in Tampa, as it may be the one and only time we are there?
