Taman Negara over Christmas?

I have a week in Malaysia and planning to go to Taman Negara on Christmas Eve. I have also heard there are floods right now? Yet there is supposed to be an ongoing Taman Negara Fest during the week of Christmas. I plan to take the train from Singapore. Anyone know what is the situation like at the moment?

Yes, there are floods right now. I wouldn't advise you to go to Taman Negara at the end of the year because it is the monsoon season. Except of course, the weather is quite unpredictable nowadays and the monsoon might just end early! I think you should just check the weather report regularly if you are keen on going.
