Are prior bookings a must for Taman Negara?

I will be visiting taman negara from 1 feb-3 feb....I would prefer camping but would stay in a budget hotel if it rains at that time....I plan to take a call once i reach taman negara....is that a good idea or should i make hotel reservations before hand?

From my experience, I would advise you book ahead. You may find accommodation that is good and affordable in limited supply especially during public holidays that fall on Saturdays and Malaysian school holidays.
