Faster route?

Hi guys, We are interesting in visit Takayama coming from Tokyo or Kyoto. Wondering witch way would be faster. We are planning on visiting the three locations. The idea is to take the Shinkansen to-from the locations. Any alternative fast route? Thank you!

    Like I said in your previous post, you have to leave from Nagoya.
