I'm visiting Taishan next month trying to find out my wife's parents old house in possibly Nam toon village. Is this village nearby Baksa (white sand). I can't find Baksa in Taishan map. Can you help me where it is? Also, what's the Chinese character for Nam Toon? I believe Nam is south. Please give me any information you know. Thank you so much. Mark
I'm not sure what language that is (edit: I've discovered it's Taishanese), but it makes sense. Nam toon seems to be nancun (south village) in Mandarin, which is written 南村. I hope I'm right and that helps you. Also, baksa is baisha in Mandarin, which on maps is written 白沙镇 (baishazhen). Here is a link to a map that shows where it is: mbendi.com/a_sndmsg/place_vi... Oh sorry I just realized that the characters didn't show up. Let me try it this way. 南村 is nancun/nam toon and 白沙 is baisha/baksa.

Nope, I ｇｕｅｓｓ ｔｈｉｓ ｓｉｔｅ ｄｏｅｓｎ't support Chinese text. Go to nciku.com and do a search is the best I can do at this point.

I still had my Chinese keyboard turned on even though I was typing in English, apparently this site won't support any of it. Anyway, go to nciku.com and search for nan cun (south village) and bai sha , and you should be able to find the characters.
