Hi, I am planning to visit Hong Kong, Macao and Taishan at Easter 2010 - would like to spend a day or so in Macao and a day or two (at most one night) in the Taishan area. We are a family of four, with children aged 7 and 9. Could anyone advise us on convenient ways to travel between Macao and Taishan? I know there are buses, but are they all suitable for children? In the Taishan area, we just want to sightsee, we have no particular person or place to visit. Any suggestions welcome!
I'm a bit confused here. The famous, touristy Taishan (the destination this forum question appears in) is a long way, about 2200km, from Macau. That's in Shandong province. There is a Taishan in Guangdong, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to go there. Ditto Guangxi. By the way, I don't think there's much for children to do in Macau. Very little for adults either, if you don't like casinos. Hong Kong is much more fun.

Sorry, the Taishan in Guangdong is the one I mean. Right Taishan, wrong forum. Apologies, and thanks for your answer.

I think the buses that go from Zhuhai to Kaiping travel via Taishan but I am not 100% certain.
